The Comic Thread is one of Chicago's oldest sketch comedy troupes.
Consisting of a rotating ensemble with several main members,
TCT's core group of writers, directors, producers, and crew
have been closely collaborating on stage since 1998 and
currently appear at festivals across the U.S. and in Canada.

The Comic Thread won BEST GROUP at the L.A. Comedy Festival and
Shadowbox Sketch Comedy Festival in Columbus, Ohio,
AUDIENCE CHOICE at Chicago Fringe Fest,
and was called "Brilliant" by former SNL cast member Garrett Morris.

The Troupe's web pilot, The Engagement Party, won the
2014 Chicago/Midwest Emmy® award for outstanding cinematography
and was nominated for Outstanding Directing!
